When legendary rock band Heart offered their services as our musical love columnists, we just couldn’t resist. So after we asked you to send all your love and music inquiries to the group’s lovely ladies, Ann and Nancy took the time to dive into a few and offer their answers via video….

Heart have long been known as a band that can balance the delicate intricacies of love with the bad-ass mentality of hard rock. Now they have their latest album, Red Velvet Car, about to hit stores on August 31, full of romantic tales not all that dissimilar to the problems plaguing you, the reader.

Trying to pen a classic hit for your wedding? Heart has you covered. Trying to let someone down softly by using a song? Heart has you covered. Trying to uncover the secret of life? Heart’s good, but nobody is that good. In any case, sit back, wrap your love-addled mind around the advice of Ann and Nancy, and enjoy.

    LOOOooooove your music! !!!! <3

On the album cover of Little Queen, I see my cousin and I in the photograph of the two of you.. It reminds me of the country fair.

I love my cousin and she has been like a sister to me and that means a lot since I am an only child. She calls herself Connie Jean the Heart Queen.. she loves your group and hearts in general.. For years I wanted to have the magic to lure you in for some event in her honor.. But as of late her heart is not into me.. soo I am just soo glad that you are coming to Eugene.. I know she will be there.. and I am looking for a way to go!.. I may be outside the fence.

I just want to "keep my love, keep it alive" I adore that song and it is my heart. I am so hoping to see you here in Eugene! I am wondering if you have ever been to the Oregon Country Fair or considered singing there?

I guess I am hoping you can give me some advise on how to keep my love alive with my cousin.. Maybe a heart song that speaks of love beyond the differences between sisters or in this case cousins.. A song that I might not recollect.. or a shout out in Eugene.. now that would be great!

Well I love you two very much! And thank you!! Love Shell

Always have been, always will be in love with you both. When i was in college many many moons ago, “Crazy on You” had just been appearing on the radio waves. Heard a girl sing that song and thought it was the hottest thing ever as she was singing it to her boyfriend in the audience. Ever since then i have fantasized about Ann or Nancy going crazy on me….lol. Thankyou so much for being the brilliant artists that you are and sharing that with all of us.

  • Oh one more thing! With the world as crazy as it can be these days…Why don’t you guy re-introduce “Mother Earth Blues” as a way we all can relate to loving our planet & each other!!! Just a thought!!! Me and my sister are as close as you two! She’s the blonde…but very intellegent…Neither one of us can sing…hahaha :)

  • My wedding song was “Live Alive”! :) What’s weird is I’m am a product of two sister marrying two brothers! :) Sounds like something you might have experienced in your early days! I love the song “Go On Cry”, “Cry to Me” & “Sing Child Sing”…Can you explain the meanings of those three songs!!! What they meant to you…Thanks!!!

It’s really Awesome that Ann and Nancy are interacting even more with HEART fans–via this Cool video idea/project!

Oh, and I think that perhaps the lighting had a lot to do with making it possible for us to see even more emotion in their eyes! That was very touchingly Cool to witness, IMHO!
